Los-Nr: 1

Bezeichnung: Operation Waddensea and Nearshore Route

1) Kurze Beschreibung: Unexploded Explosive Ordnance (UXO) survey, identification and removal on the cable route BorWin3 in the German sector of the North Sea.

2) Gemeinsames Vokabular für öffentliche Aufträge (CPV) 71354500, 71352300 - FB02, 71351923, 71353100, 90523100, 90523200

3) Menge oder Umfang: The planned BorWin3 submarine cable connection is a DC power transmission link with a length of 130 km. Landfall is at Hamswehrum in Germany from where the route crosses German territorial waters and the German EEZ before it ends at a planned substation in the North Sea (German EEZ) called BorWin gamma. The route provides a wide variety of morphological features and water depths. Route corridor of approximate length 42 kilometres (excluding overlap) and ranging in water depths from drying tidal flats to approximately -15 metres LAT. The entire scope of the clearance services encompasses:

— Geophysical survey to identify potential UXO objects within the prescribed surveyed corridor. Contractor will host a route working group meeting to conduct re-routing as far as possible to avoid potential UXO objects within certain constraints in order to issue a final route position list, a final potential UXO object list and a route clearance certificate.

— Positive visual identification of the final potential UXO objects resulting from the re-routing.

— Where required, disposal to shore of any actual UXO objects if safe to transport or detonation on site if unsafe to do so. Issuance of final target clearance certificate(s) for all objects inspected and removed. Provide assistance with securing final approvals from the authorities for the subsequent cable installation works. Relevant Scope: Waddensea Route – Land fall to KP 5 - WD -1.5m to 0m LAT combined with Nearshore Route

— KP 5 to KP 42 - WD 0m to 15m LAT; geophysical survey,visual identification and disposal operations [mentioned route details and periods are up to further clarification]

5) Zusätzliche Angaben zu den Losen: Concerning II.3) Duration of the contract: This duration is to be confirmed but the following options are considered which may require multi-vessel survey, inspection and disposal spread operations: Lot 1: Waddensea and Nearshore Route: Approximate duration 6 months commencing 4th quarter 2014 or 1st quarter 2015. Lot 2: Offshore Route: Approximate duration 6 months commencing 3rd or 4th quarter 2015. Lot 3 Platform site: Approximate duration 2 months commencing 3rd quarter 2017.

Contractor will host a route working group meeting to conduct re-routing as far as possible to avoid potential UXO objects within certain constraints in order to issue a final route position list, a final potential UXO object list and a route clearance certificate.

— Where required, disposal to shore of any actual UXO objects if safe to transport or detonation on site if unsafe to do so.
