7. Contract description

This Technical Assistance operation covers a range of support activities that accompany and are related to implementation of the project of rehabilitation and modernization of the water-supply, as well as wastewater collection and treatment facilities, of Mykolayiv Vodokanal (MVK), which is the municipal utility of the city of Mykolayiv (South Ukraine) co-financed by the EIB. The purpose of this Technical Assistance is (i) assisting MVK and its PIU in finalizing procurement documentation, GIS and modeling of water and wastewater systems, tendering as well as in contract supervision and management; (ii) assisting and supporting the MVK to comply with various requirements set out under the Finance Agreement, including setting up procedures and reporting.

11. Legal basis

Regulation (EC) no.1638/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 2006 laying down general provisions establishing a European Neighbourhood and Partnership instrument, and the European Investment Bank Board of Directors decision of 14 July 2010 on the establishment of the multi-purpose, multi-sectoral Eastern Partnership Technical Assistance Trust Fund (EPTATF).
